Corporate conferences, conventions, and associations worldwide use MCs to keep audiences engaged and events running smoothly. Comedy clubs, magic conventions, the Hollywood Magic Castle, Comic Cons, Anime Expos, casino tournaments, cruise ships, weddings, and themed entertainment venues all over the world utilize the talents of professional MCs. Many magicians and mentalists have worked as professional MCs because they can travel light and live well. The role of an MC can include - introducing and thanking speakers, introducing the theme of the conference, facilitating panel discussions & even interviewing celebrity guests, as well as plenty of opportunities to perform.

We will discuss how to work as a professional MC in-person and over zoom and other virtual platforms. This class will teach you all the tools, tricks, and skills you need to know if you want to start pursing your career as a magical MC. We have pulled together an unbelievable line up of talent, this class is filled with international stars who have had incredible careers in places like Las Vegas, New York, Chicago, London, New Orleans, Washington DC, Los Angeles, and all over the world. 


In these classes you will learn how to:

  • Discover which effects are right and wrong for these engagements 
  • Work within different environments and restrictions 
  • Prepare for any situation 
  • Book yourself to start your career
  • Create material for a wide variety of audiences 


Classes will be taught in a style similar to the television series Inside the Actors Studio with Senior Faculty member Paul Draper interviewing the guest instructors and then opening the room for Q&A.

Bruce Gold

Bruce got his start in showbiz thanks to a TV Magic Set and went on to appear on TV's Master’s of Illusion, Penn & Teller’s Fool Us and as the host of his own TV talk show. You may have even seen Bruce as the laughable magician in an award-winning "got milk?” TV commercial, as a guest star on the sitcom Full House or on Oprah. Bruce studied theater in college and toured the USA as a stand-up comedian before moving to Hollywood Hollywood California where he became a favorite at Hollywood's famous Magic Castle. He’s also appeared in Las Vegas, aboard the world’s largest cruise ships, and works in the entertainment industry as a creative consultant for companies like Lucas Film. Variety Magazine said, “Bruce Gold is a funny man of considerable charm.” Bruce says the secret to his success is his magic formula, “Laugh, laugh wow!”

Noel Britten

Noel Britten's award-winning comedy has earned him a solid reputation for comedy excellence on the circuit and beyond.

From the outset, Noel was described as "the country's finest emerging stand-up talent" (Comedy Review Magazine) and throughout his career in which he has notched up 7 years of solid experience, he is considered "something of a hot property" (Venue Magazine) within the comedy world.

As well as performing in the famous Comedy Store and Jongleurs his clients also extend to numerous corporate events including IBM, HP, Pentel, Pictet Swiss Bank Corporation, and Hamptons where his quick-witted observational comedy has entertained executives all around the world. He is regularly invited to perform in the USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Dubai, and Canada at a variety of events including The Sydney International Festival in Australia, The Nova Scotia Comedy Festival in Canada, The Oerol Festival in Holland, and of course The Edinburgh Festival in Scotland. Noel's work has also been featured on Channel 4 and BBC.

In the West Country, he is well known for his Bizarre Bath comedy tours of his home City of Bath that have run nightly throughout the summer for the last 10 years. It has been recommended by all the major tourist books ("a great idea, superbly executed, and should be on every visitor's itinerary" Choice Travel Guide), TV Travel shows ("brilliantly unforgettable" BBC's Holiday Show), and has now reached the status of a "must do" for many visitors to Bath.

Felice Ling


Felice Ling is an occasionally international street performer who can be found most often in Boston’s Faneuil Hall; she has brought her awkward comedic magic to fringe festivals and the streets of three different continents.

Locally, she produces a monthly open mic magic show; as the founder and executive producer of the Boston Magic Lab, she works to build a community that welcomes and bolsters diverse local talent – to one day create a space where diversity is the norm.

Felice is also a social scientist. She was awarded the University of Chicago’s Earl S. Johnson Prize for an ethnography exploring the impact of street theater on stranger interactions on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.

Jeff McBride

Every event has different needs, and McBride is the master facilitator who can supply entertaining elements to make your event the memorable and meaningful experience you want. Jeff McBride has been creating and hosting events since he was a young man. Combining the talents of a brilliant performer, engaging master of ceremonies, and a knowledgeable keynote speaker, he mixes a perfect blend to bring all the parts of your event together into a memorable and cohesive whole. Pairing original illusions, inspiring stories and acting skills to his troubleshooting qualities behind the scenes, McBride provides an almost magical frame for your event that will keep it flowing and make everyone shine.
