Jeff will guide you through video archives, personal stories and exciting performance routines that he will teach you to illustrate and enhance your personal story-telling magic. 

In this course, we will focus on three major aspects of the creative process:

• Telling Your Personal Story: Finding Your Character & Presentation Style
• Magic as Visual Metaphor: Selecting Magic Effects to Empower and Embellish Your Story
• Making Meaningful Connections: Techniques of the Masters to Touch the Heart and Soul

Every gathering and event can be transformed into a celebration by having an exceptional magician mingle with your guests, present at the bar, or perform formal shows at an elegant table. Performing close-up magic for two to fifty guests at a time as they gather in groups or sit tableside will create unforgettable experiences at your event. This style of exquisite entertainment brings people together and creates bursts of laughter and applause. Magic is presented within inches of the spectator and in their own hands. Being this close to the action makes the experience personal, memorable, and a great icebreaker that keeps the audiences talking all night long.

Magic Master Class is the premiere magic educational experience in the world. It involves personalized instruction at the McBride House of Mystery in a small-group setting. It is designed so that each attendee takes their magic and their magic business to the next level.

In response to popular demand, the Magic & Mystery School offers seven-day Master Classes. This means there will be more time with Jeff and Larry as well as special teaching units from world-leading teachers of magic. The seven-day class also includes a ticket for a major Las Vegas magic show, such as Mac King, and relaxed time for questions with the star. There will also be two events to which you may bring a guest or family member.

Jeff McBride's Master Class is the premier program in contemporary magic where YOU and your performance take center stage in a safe and supportive setting.

At this Special Master Class, all of the performances, talks, and breakout sessions are focused on the performing art of MENTALISM. Regular faculty members Jeff McBride and Dr. Larry Hass will share their knowledge and experience with Mentalism and Mystery Entertainment. Legendary mentalist and Senior Faculty Member ROSS JOHNSON will once again spend time with the class--either in person or through a special, exclusive online lecture. (As we get closer to the event, other special guest stars may be added to the list.) This will be a RARE opportunity to learn the deepest secrets of mentalism from Ross.

In addition to the Personal Performance Feedback sessions--where you get expert direction on improving your performances--the Master Class for Mentalism features small-group learning and trick teaching, as well as KEYNOTE LECTURES from Ross, Jeff, and Larry. These are high-level, cutting edge lectures on the topics, techniques, and/or leading figures in our field, prepared especially for this course.

The Magic & Meaning Conference Will Be Online Again in 2025! Join Us as We Celebrate NINETEEN Years of this Grand Event!

All events will be recorded, so you can watch anytime you wish.

Our past Online Magic and Meaning Conferences have met with huge success, drawing well over one hundred participants from around the world--people who would not otherwise have been able to attend. Further, our online community has grown by leaps and bounds since the beginning of 2020. Since the Magic and Meaning Conference is our School's "homecoming event," and since our presence has become so global, the 2025 Magic and Meaning Conference will be online.

As has always been the case, the Conference will feature 15 of our remarkable P-E-P Talks by attendees. It will also feature Ensemble Shows, break-out room discussions, teaching magic effects, and discussing ideas "beyond tricks" that are essential to the art of magic.

Hosted by the Magic & Mystery School Faculty, the Magic and Meaning Conference is an annual gathering of magicians, scholars, public speakers, professionals from many areas, and performers of diverse arts. It is for anyone who loves magic, storytelling, the philosophy of magic, and who wants to think about magic in new ways.
