I just completed the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Masterpiece Residency Program with Jeff McBride. This experience was transformational in the best sense. The depth of inquiry and practice of this one routine opened my eyes to infinite possibilities of how to present the other routines I perform. Learning the principles of how to create a better impact on my audience and how to present the “message” aesthetically was a huge gain in my development as a magician. It is a rare opportunity in life to apprentice so intimately with such a master. Jeff’s vast wisdom of the magical arts comes from a lifetime of learning and performing and deep thinking and play. Jeff has the ability to view a magician perform at any level and direct that individual to a higher level of competency and effectiveness. The value of this investment in my education and training was priceless. This experience has catapulted my creativeness into new realms, and I am forever grateful. This world we live in needs more magic. The solutions to the problems we face will only be solved by imaginative thought and inspired action. Magic can be a catalyst for change and a better world.
