Weekend of Wisdom: The Philosophers of Magic - Live in Las Vegas

$795.00 ($400.00 minimum deposit)
Registration Not Open

Join us for a weekend of wisdom! Spend quality time in small groups with some of the greatest magic teachers in the world. Explore the deep wisdom of the philosophers of magic. Our special guest: Dan Harlan.

The original vision of Mystery School was to create a safe place for serious play and a deep study of magic. For the first few years, 30 people met for three days in a secret location. Over the years, that grew and grew to over 100 students attending.

Here is your chance to experience the roots of the tree of wisdom: old-school, small-group style!

Daytime Events

Lively discussions, thought-provoking lectures, and inspirational performances. Small group conversations, Library and Museum explorations, and mysterious surprises!

Evening Events

On Friday night, informal dining experiences near the School will provide a place for us to connect and continue our conversations, and, if people choose, to share their magic!

Saturday night, as a group, we will attend a surprise performance at a Las Vegas show venue, TBA.

Sunday night, our weekend will conclude with the magic pizza party!

Participants are also free to make their own plans during the evenings—however, our evening programming will be provided until 7:00 p.m.

This Year’s Theme:  Essential Wisdom

The teachers and facilitators look forward to welcoming you to the House of Mystery so you can enjoy this experience and deepen our friendships as we dive into the art and history of magic.

The theme for this inaugural year of 2021 will be Essential Wisdom. Our focus will be on the work and wisdom of Sam Sharpe, Tommy Wonder, and Eugene Burger (among others).

Our Special Guest:

Dan Harlan is one of the great inventors of our time. He also happens to be one of the nicest people and one of the most giving and sharing of any magicians I’ve ever met.

Dan was with us at the very early Mystery Schools and brought a delightful dimension of mischievousness to our Mystery School community.

The tradition continues at our WEEKEND OF WISDOM. Dan Harlan will attend BOTH events and present two completely different programs. He will also be here with us live to share magic in small groups… Not only teaching his wonderful magic but helping you with yours.

Take-Aways

In addition to our wonderful programming (shows, talks, and new magic), you will also create or renew deep friendships, all of which will reinvigorate and inspire your magic. You will also receive:

* A Mystery School Grimoire, filled with your favorite secrets.

The Grimoire is a collection of essays and thoughts, and a place for your personal reflections on the weekend. This is a book you will return to again and again, to reflect on the teachings that will be shared with you over the weekend.

* Mystery School Water Vessel

In our effort to create a safe and healthy space you will be provided with a collectible water bottle that you may keep as part of your experience here at the Magic & Mystery School. This is a high-quality water bottle that you will use for many years to come.

* The Mystery School Membership Emblem, given only to those who attend the School.

* Certificate of Participation, specially created for the Weekend of Wisdom, suitable for framing.

You will also gain access to Mystery School's secret online groups. This is a private online space, where our students gather to share thoughts, secrets, resources, and magic.

Every student will have access to the incredible Mystery School “Library of Secrets” and will get to explore the “Museum of Curiosities.”

We are working to make this a deeply fulfilling and memorable experience. Space is limited to 20 people so register now.

REVISED:  SEPTEMBER 7, 2021

The House of Mystery COVID-19 Policy

Health & Safety issues are our top priority as we open the House of Mystery for our two in-person events this fall: Weekend of Wonder: Philosophers of Magic (October 22-24, 2021) and The Master Class for Mentalism (November 11-14, 2021).

Given the rise of COVID-19 cases in several regions due to the delta variant, along with the full FDA approval of Pfizer-BioNtech COVID-19 vaccine, we are hereby tightening our COVID-19 policy for these two events.

1. Every participant, including the faculty and staff, must be fully vaccinated on the first day of the class. (“Full vaccination” means having completed the last dose of one’s selected vaccine two weeks prior to the event.) Proof of vaccination must be made by presenting either your “COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card” or a photograph of it. No exceptions will be made

2. Each day of the event, participants will undergo Symptom Screening before being admitted to the House of Mystery. Should a participant have symptoms, such as fever, coughing, runny nose, or sore throat (among others), they will not be allowed to attend the remainder of the event and will be refunded a percentage of their tuition for the day or days missed.

3. Along with these measures, we plan to use outdoor space as much as possible (Las Vegas is lovely in autumn!), and we will strongly encourage people to wear masks indoors when they are not performing or speaking.

Thank you for understanding these important steps as we plan to get back together while staying sensible and safe.
