By popular demand, we are once again offering our acclaimed Medicine and Magic Seminar that explores the significant relationship between medicine as a healing art and magic as a performing art. The seminar is specially designed for physicians and other health care providers, including nurses, therapists, and alternative medicine practitioners.


The Medicine and Magic Seminar is taught by three faculty members of McBride's Magic & Mystery School: Jeff McBride (Founder), Larry Hass, Ph.D. (Dean & Philosopher), and Ricardo Rosenkranz, M. D. (Founder of the revolutionary, award-winning Magic and Medicine teaching program at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine).

The original vision of Mystery School was to create a safe place for serious play and a deep study of magic. For the first few years, 30 people met for three days in a secret location. Over the years, that grew and grew to over 100 students attending.

Jeff McBride's Master Class is the premier program in contemporary magic where YOU and your performance take center stage in a safe and supportive setting.

At this Special Master Class, all of the performances, talks, and breakout sessions are focused on the performing art of MENTALISM. Regular faculty members Jeff McBride and Dr. Larry Hass will share their thoughts on Mentalism and Mystery Entertainment. And our Special Guest for the Class will once again be ROSS JOHNSON, perhaps the most successful corporate mentalist in the United States. This is a RARE opportunity to learn from Ross, because he does not publish his material and rarely speaks to groups of mentalists. We are thrilled to be able to spend several days with him finding out what has made him so successful.

In addition to the Personal Performance Feedback sessions--when you get expert direction on improving your performances--the Master Class for Mentalism features small-group learning and trick teaching, as well as KEYNOTE LECTURES on the art of mentalism by Ross, Larry, and Jeff.  These are high-level, cutting edge lectures on the topics, techniques, and/or leading figures in our field, prepared especially for this course.

The Magic & Meaning Conference Will Be Online Again in 2024! Join Us as We Celebrate NINETEEN Years of this Grand Event!

Our past Online Magic and Meaning Conferences have met with huge success, drawing well over one hundred participants from around the world--people who would not otherwise have been able to attend. Further, our online community has grown by leaps and bounds since the beginning of 2020. Since the Magic and Meaning Conference is our School's "homecoming event," and since our presence has become so global, the 2024 Magic and Meaning Conference will be online.

As has always been the case, the Conference will feature 15 of our remarkable P-E-P Talks by attendees. It will also feature Ensemble Shows, break-out room discussions, teaching magic effects, and discussing ideas "beyond tricks" that are essential to the art of magic. To submit a proposal for your PEP Talk for the 2024 Online Magic and Meaning Conference, please carefully read this CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS.

Hosted by the Magic & Mystery School Faculty, the Magic and Meaning Conference is an annual gathering of magicians, scholars, public speakers, professionals from many areas, and performers of diverse arts. It is for anyone who loves magic, storytelling, the philosophy of magic, and who wants to think about magic in new ways.

Magic Master Class is the premiere magic educational experience in the world. It involves personalized instruction at the McBride House of Mystery in a small-group setting. It is designed so that each attendee takes their magic and their magic business to the next level.

In response to popular demand, the Magic & Mystery School offers seven-day Master Classes. This means there will be more time with Jeff and Larry as well as special teaching units from world-leading teachers of magic. The seven-day class also includes a ticket for a major Las Vegas magic show, such as Mac King, and relaxed time for questions with the star.
